Damn that girl is fit!

Hello from London!

What an amazing city. I can't wait to come back here and spend some real time walking around when I'm not required to do 4000 interviews a day in the same dark hotel room. I'm staying in a very nice hotel. It's so fancy; the bathroom has two toilets right next to each other. Not sure why. Seems awfully decadent to me. Either one is for peeing and one is for pooing, or it's to enable you and your loved one to go two-sies at the same time. I don't know, but I like it. The people here are very polite and they absolutely love to drink. It seems like every activity is based around when you'll drink next. Perhaps that's why they have two cans in every bathroom. They love "Friends" here. I swear, if you flick channels, "Friends" is on at all times of the day. There's like "Friends" channels!

I learned a great expression today. "Fit" It means hot! Some reporter told me he thought Nat was "fit.” I said I think she works out, but I'm not sure how fit she is. No, he said- hot! I like that; I'm bringing "fit" home.

By the way, the episode of Scrubs I directed is airing tomorrow night, Tuesday 9:30pm. I know there is a big baseball game on, but if you wanna take a break from the game, please tune in and check it out. I think it came out pretty well.

Okay, I must go try to fall asleep. I'm off to Munich tomorrow, then Paris. I'm quite buzzed, so sorry if there's typos.

Hope every single one of you is well.

Peace and Love,
ZB

I am so excited to go to London in May after I finish school. Oh.. I'm excited to finish school, too.
Any suggestions on things people might not think to see?

There is a cool "Streets" song called, "Fit, but you know it." Im sure you'll like it. It goes sorta like this...."Yeah Yeah You're really fit. But my gosh! Dont you just know it!"

Posted by: Randy | Oct 25, 2004 4:07:09 PM

Should we be flattered or insulted that you decided to update your garden state blog when you were tipsy? :P

Posted by: Justin | Oct 25, 2004 4:07:24 PM

Zach,

I was buying the Joshua Radin EP off of iTunes, and I noticed he was on an iMix called the Hotel Cafe Scene. The other iMixes by that user included the Garden State soundtrack and a couple of other mixes that seemed to include a lot of bands that you like.

"Fit" is already here if you listen to the Streets. But I'll totally give you credit.

Can't wait to see the episode of Scrubs that you directed. Went to see Garden State for the 3rd time this week, just as amazing and moving as the first time.

Thanks for this blog. It brightens my day and tends to make me giggle. Keep writing!

Also, if you are that mysterious iMix maker, keep making those iMixes. Love the music.

Anyway, thanks for being awesome.

Hey Zach,

That's great that the scrubs you directed is going to be on so soon! Happy traveling and thanks for checking in. Just listed to the npr interview. It was cute and cool. Don't forget to check out some conscious hiphop at www.remoconscious.com. Shameless plug for my prince, I'll admit it.

Hey Zach!
I just made my roommate, Erin who is awesome, check your blog about an hour ago. My computer is dead so she is helping me out. She went to subway, checked again and you updated! I am so excited! But you still have not answered my question of whether or not you are the cottonelle puppy. I guess I'll let it go this time, but I will never stop wondering . . that's a lie, I'll get over it eventually. Have fun doing all your press. Also, once again, Erin is awesome.

Yeah I visited London over the summer and brought home fit here to Texas :) it's often used between my friends and I now. Hope you're having a great time there! Oh, and I definately won't be missing Scrubs tomorrow night!

i don't watch baseball anymore, so scrubs it is!

Posted by: christine | Oct 25, 2004 4:12:37 PM

Hey there British Zach,
Now I caught on to the whole Josh Radin plug...he was, as you referred to him, "Peter Sarsgaard's assistant #1" the guy who hooked up with the 16 year old girl....We never did find out how THAT worked out...hmmmm. Anyway, I'm afraid I'm gonna have to tape that Scrubs episode. Baseball is king...especially when your a cub fan in October 2004 and the team you despise is facing off against the team you sympathize with. I had to spend last week at a hospital in St. Louis and it was horrendous. Battalions of freakin Cardinal loyalists everywhere I turned. GO BOSTON!! and oh yah....GO SCRUBS EPISODE THAT BRITISH ZACH DIRECTED!

I swore to myself that I would only comment if I was one of the first...I mean I know that your life is busy and I don't want to be the 1,000,000th comment that you feel you have to read. I love the movie, it changed me it made me want to be a better person. I have to say that you are beautiful. I felt like you spoke to me. the film was so moving I had to RUN and buy the soundtrack, I have been listening to it for weeks now...and it still makes me cry. I love the fact that garden state is now the new good movie bar...my friend told me a movie was good the other day...but not garden state good. I think you may have created a untouchable moving masterpiece. thank you for your work. I will continue to be a huge fan.

Across the pond they have great drinks to encourage the inebrieated state: Strongbow Cider- Black Currant. MMMM!! It outsells most lagers in the UK, so that must say something.

Can't wait to watch Scrubs and I'm waiting with bells on for Garden State to come out on DVD!

Zach,

I'm jealous you're in London. Not that Malibu isn't awesome, but college gets pretty routine and I'm dying for a vacation. Hopefuly I will get into our Florence program for next year, wish me luck!

But enough about me, hope you have an awesome trip. Enjoy the bathroom... that's kinda sketchy. I have to admit I haven't watched Scrubs before, but I think I'll check it out tomorrow.

Zach,
I must tell you, I have completely and unabashedly pilfered your style of closing your blog post. Peace and Love and my initials (in my case, ER) close most every post. I can only hope that the day never comes where my friends become cool enough to read your blog and realize what an unoriginal turd I am.

Peace and Love,

By the way, your movie is awesome.
Ditto for scrubs.

Hello from israel, maybe u can drop by and visit Fit Nat . And bring Garden State along with u, i don't think the movie is being released here and i really wanna watch it, as do many others back here. maybe a special screening at a university or something..just an idea.
then again, there's always DVD...

The two toilets reminds me of that SNL commercial(when it was funny)...the one where the toilets are actually connected so you can gaze into your lovers eyes while you drop some poundage. Ah how romantic...and I am looking forward to "Scrubs" tomorrow night by the way, I thought I should mention that as well. Not that intertwined toilets aren't intriguing enough.
