Hey Zach,
Just wanted to give you mad props for putting this movie together- I really can't wait to check it out! The word of mouth has been amazing and I'm so glad that you're much deeper and complex than the however-wonderful JD that you play in Scrubs (to much hilarity, I might add). Best wishes and enjoy your special day!

I just wanted to throw in my two cents and say that the trailers for your film were little pieces of art in and of themselves. Besides Wes Anderson's LIFE AQUATIC, GARDEN STATE is the other movie I most anticipate seeing this year. Ok, enough of this levitous yammering, there's work to be done.

How cool is this...even the fans get to be famous for a day. they had their picture taken with Zach Braff's digital camera and are on his memory stick. I bet they all go and tell all their friends "I'm on Zach Braff's memory stick."

HAH! im the one in the left corner...squinting and searching for Mr. Braff.
I was kind of bummed to see that most of the people around me were just collectors looking for a signature...i thought there were definately gonna be more F.O.G.S.!
Sometimes when you finally meet a person that you admire, the image that you project of them is usually better than when you actually meet the person...but this was not the case!
Mr. Braff, you were absolutely cordial and polite and thank you for taking time to speak with me. I have the poster nicely framed.
Thank you again, and i hope that giving you that dvd wasn't too audacious. I hope you enjoy it and that you realize that you have inspired me. thank you!

I'm so excited for this film. I missed you (Zach) at a Birmingham, MI screening about a month ago. My press source told me about it a day late. I was crushed. As an indie filmmaker with one tiny film under his belt in my career thus far, it's fantastic to see a film like Garden State take of so wonderfully. Your trailers are powerful and moving... I can't wait to see the entire film. Mark my words, Zach. You're gonna hear my name and my films within a few years... I'll shake your hand and thank you for making this film within 2 years. I predict this will fall on my top 5 list alongside another Natalie Portman film: Beautiful Girls.
Congrats, thanks for raising the spotlight on independent cinema. I think it's awesome you post and respond in this blog. You have more respect from us fans and fellow filmmakers than you can ever know.

Hi Zach,
I am really excited about the film and I am quite impressed. I have always been a Scrubs fan but this is such a great treat. Just wanted to let you know that being in my 20's you appear to be on the verge of tapping into a generation not only with the music of the film but with your characters, and I get all of this just from the trailer!!! Having just lost my Mom to colon cancer recently, my twenties have become twice as confusing. In short, I am very impressed and having always had a dream of being an actor, screenwriter, and director you are certainly living the dream. Congratulations and Best of Luck!!! Also, any advice for a young guy trying to figure things out would be great. I have a wonderful girlfriend, I am in sales, but have always been drawn to film. Thanks Zach. Take care.

Hi Zach,
I was at the screening last night here in Dallas and just wanted to let you know that Garden State is amazing; I immediately called up my close friends when I got home and told them all not to miss it on opening weekend. You're definitely right about the fact that movies these days that supposedly target people in their twenties are falling tragically short, and your film is so refreshingly different from those. One question that I had during the Q&A: aside from The Shins and Coldplay, what other bands are you into right now?
Hope you had a great stay here in Dallas, and thanks for coming!

Zach,
Thanks for coming to Dallas Texas last night! The film was honest, hilarious, and deeply touching. I told you afterwards I hope you get an Oscar nod, and I mean't it. I am telling everyone to see it!

Oh and I apologize for all your Dallas fans for last night's embarrassing moment during the Q&A when that blonde girl asked to go pee.
The rest of us went beforehand.

Well... if you made it last night to the sneak preview of Garden State in Dallas.... you missed a lot!! The beginnings of a wonderful career in writing, directing, and acting.... Zach is not new to the biz of acting, but this being his directoral debut ranks him up top with the likes of M. Night Shyamalan.... in my eyes. Yes I know they are two completley different directors with different styles.... but they both have fresh eyes and directions and I'm sure I don't just speak for myself.... we now wait with anticipation for each of their next films. It was very good marketing on his part to be able to show up for a Q and A after the preview of the movie. It would have been even better without the gentleman from a local publication orchestrating the questions, taking the time and questions away from Zach's audience and conducting his own personal interview in front of everyone, when he would be interviewing him AGAIN the next day. Between that gentleman and the intoxicated female up top wasting a question to ask if she could go to the bathroom... geez. But Zach, with his witty humor, followed up the bathroom question with, "Is it onezies or twozies?" Cracked me up! I wanted to ask Zach to come have a beer with a few of us.... but as tight as his schedule is and I'm sure as tired as he is.... there was no way of even asking as quickly as they rushed him out of the theater. Although I forgot to TiVo the back to back episodes of SCRUBS.... I had a wonderful evening watching Garden State and hearing Zach's views on the movie. Kudos!! Looking forward to seeing it again with my wife, as well as looking forward to your future ventures!
Best Of Luck....

Zach,
The reason I enjoy Scrubs so much is not only cause its a great show but I can relate to you, the actor, the person and the character. I'm definetly gonna check out your movie, and if I ever run into you I'll buy you a drink....
Goodluck

Have seen the trailer and I am pleasantly surprised by the emotion you have captured in the character's eyes and faces. To me, this is the true way to determine if a film will be able to touch its audience. Good Luck and I am looking forward to seeing your visual opus.

Zach,
I'm not the most film-savvy person in the world, but I am pretty picky about movies, and it's rare for me to be as excited about a movie as I am about Garden State. Best wishes!
P.S., It really sucks for me that I live nowhere close to either L.A. or N.Y. Open your next movie up in Austin!

8/20! Eight. Twenty. I have to wait until 8/20 before I can see this film! Oh, the humanity!
Man, I gotta move.

Hey Zach,
it's good to see you not only on Scrubs, but now at the movies! Can't wait to see the film! I'm a big fan.

Dude...I was supposed to be at the screening/Q&A last week in Dallas, but unfortunatley, another project came up and I had to work. Damn it.
Yeah, it's hot down here. I've been here for almost four years now, and can't wait to get the hell out.
Anyways...When is the film opening in Dallas?? I think I have a project to work on in L.A. in a couple of weeks, if so, I'll definitley take time to check it out. It's not set in stone yet, so I may have to wait it out. I've been waiting too long to see this movie, just praying it lives up to my expectations. Good luck with the opening.

Hi Zach,
I saw you last night promoting your blog sight (and your movie, of course) on Letterman. The clip that was shown was lovely, and I think the shirt you were wearing in the scene was fabulous, simply fabulous. I wonder if you actually read the emails that people write to you, but thought I would at least try to let you know that I think you are incredibly talented, and I am very much looking forward to seeing your movie. I believe it will be playing in Colorado Springs in our quaint little theatre...the only theatre where you can enjoy beer and wine during the movie (no, I don't work there). Anyhoo, out of all the actors in the world, I think you are one of the finest..., especially because you do more than act. I imagine you are used to being adored, but I do adore you, Zach. Who wouldn't?
Best wishes. I love Coldplay too. They did a great concert at Redrocks which is a place you MUST go to attend a concert someday, if you haven't already. It is beautiful. Oh, and about the Father of the Pride fear you have as it precedes SCRUBS, don't worry. It might actually be kind of funny. I think the creators of Shrek were involved, though, I could just have my information mixed up. Zach, thanks for being you and contributing positively to the film and television industries. By the way...is that dog in SCRUBS really a dead dog that has been stuffed? People do that, you know? I am very curious. Take care of you.

ey guys,
i just wanted to ask, will the film be screeening in Australia? looks great,
PS: there should be a viewer descresion on each episode of Scrubs, it is undoubtly off the scale non stop comedy.

Zach,
First off, i loved your movie. Congrats on living a dream. Also, the promo t-shirts for it are great. All my NJ friends were all about it. including Heather White. I guess you went to a prom with her or something. I got her a shirt and she was pretty happy about it. Anyhow, we all live in Arizona now. Hotter that Dallas! Good times.
