News From the Robots
Dearest Fans,
Get ready for the launch of my new site: Zachbraff.com Sorry I haven't posted here in awhile, but we've been working hard on launching our new home. Just give me a couple more days to work out some kinks; the robots are doing their best.
The site will launch with an exclusive super-secret teaser for my new film, "The Last Kiss".
p.s. Joshua Radin got signed to Columbia Records and I'm directing his video at the end of the month... :)
Peace and love,
ZB

I am excited for all the above.
I laughed my arse off at 'Scrubs' last night as well (especially the exclusive scene from 'Dr. Acula'), and I purchased that Aqualung song off of iTunes immediately after the show was over. Just in case you wanted to know that iTunes received $.99 of my money last night.
Take care and much love.

Glad to hear from you again !
As I know you're directing your new movie, I have a request :p
I loved Garden State and especially its music, but man, where were the female singers hiding ????
Could you please make an effort for the music of Open Hearts ?
I personnally love Katie Melua, KT Tunstall, Suzanne Vega, Hooverphonic and many others, but you're the artist ;)

I am glad that the robots are working hard. what would be the point of a robot that was slacking off, anyway? that is a characteristic solely attributable to us lowly humans...so thanks for giving me another means of achieving procratination. It is what I (but not the robots) do best.
ps. scrubs is continuously awesome.

Hey Zach,
It's good to hear from you and I'm glad that your website will be up and running soon. I can't wait to check it out.
I saw the SCRUBS season finale last night and I have to say that Jordan being pregnant didn't surprise me, however, the urologist caught me off guard. Since it's only 2.5 weeks into your relationship I would have to safely say that I don't think it's JD's. Question: Whose is it? Possibly the Janitor or the Todd? That would be funny. Anyhoo, glad to hear from you and that you take time out for the little people.
All the best.

Hey Zach,
It is wonderful to hear from you after long time. Scrubs was grrrrrrrrrrrreat this week as always. I still expect some vibe between JD and Elliot though. I can see that you are quite excited about directing the video. Maybe you can load a small demo of the video after it is completed, so that we can also see it through your site. Tell your robots that people are dying outside to see your new virtual space!
Take care!

Hey Zach!
I think it's great that you don't write here as much as before. That just means you're busy doing stuff for us to see (hopefully). Thx for the music tips, they're great. But what's really playing on my iPod right now is Timo Räisänen, he's hard to find, but it's totally worth it. Try him (can you say that)
Ok that's all for now. Oh wait! Do you possibly know someone who's keen on giving out a scholarship to a swedish top A-student (well, almost 19.5/20) that wants to study either psychology or drama in the U.S? That would be awesome!

Also, inquiring fans want to know: Did you REALLY shave your head? Or was that just computers? If so were you and Natalie bald buddies? ;)

Hey Zach, I'm excited to see your page and that movie! You're AWESOME! Much love,
Aliza.
P.S. I shall write you a poem again...
Zach Zach Zach
is more awesome than a tic tac
He's in a medical tv show
that doesn't even blow
I'm pretty sure he's jew
In which I am too
He's as awesome as a pie
This is surely not a lie
It's homework time, I better bail
If I do not, I would surely fail.
Thank you, thank you very much.

Garden State at the Arclight in L.A.
or of The Last Kiss

i'm studying in spain at the moment (i go to UCLA back in the old US of A) and i have 2 tv shows on DVD with me. (tv in spain sucks.) one of them is scrubs. i watch the same 24 episodes over and over and over again and i never get tired of them. thanks for being a part of such a great show. you, and the rest of the cast, are amazing. you already know that but i thought i'd tell you again.
anyway. you should make a playlist on itunes. you know, that thing where movie stars and tv stars and music stars and just stars in general post their playlist of their favorite songs. your taste in music seems to be amazing as well.
lots of love coming at you from spain. thanks for keeping me entertained and giving me reason to procrastinate.

Thank you for making a site so that we can stalk you in an easier and organized fashion. Also, the Scrubs season finale was very cute. And intriguing. (Much better than Gilmore Girls, right JD)

I enjoyed "Scrubs" last night until the last few minutes. Oh, the shock. Oh, the betrayal. I'm pretty sure I sent you the memo, but in case it somehow got lost in the shuffle: you don't get to have anyone's babies but mine. Just an fyi.
Not that I confuse the world of fiction and the world of reality or anything. No, no, no.

I am glad I checked back in. I will definitely visit the new site....even if my family, friends and local priest are concerned over my avid readings on "The Braff." I'm about to embark on my own exploration of film production and you give me a little extra kick of confidence to see some dreams through.

WHAT VIDEO ARE YOU DIRECTING!? I've been addicted to his music lately.
Can't wait to see the trailer for the movie.
And Scrubs shocked me! I don't think I can wait until January to find out what the heck happened!! AH!

scrubs was great last night, i loved it! though it was unexpectedly shocking... haha and i really really love garden state, when i first saw it at my friend's house i went to target and bought it. you got skills, man. <3

I've wanted to tell you this for a long time and figure now is as good of a time as any. I don't know how many comments you get on here like this, but I really want to let you know that you touched another person's life with your movie.
I just really love Garden State. It is one of my favorite movies and I think it has changed my way of thinking, and really really made me want to make movies. It's just so real and personal and I relate to so much of it and...just...thank you for making it. Thank you for putting the amazing music, as well. "Let Go" is probably my favorite song in the whole world. Sometimes when my life gets really heavy and unbearable I just think about the fact that there really is "beauty in the breakdown" and I can handle things again.
Just...thank you for making it. It is a movie that I will never forget. Why would I want to?
Posted by: Nicole | May 17, 2006 6:47:21 PM

Joshua Radin is just great. I love his music especially the song: The Fear you won't fall. Awesome lyrics. There's no one better than you to direct his video.
This season of scrubs was the best season so far. I hope sixth season will go beyond this one. Excellent work in scrubs. Keep doing it. You are the funniest man alive.

Hey Zach,
Check out music by K's Choice (I think the songs "Busy" and "Almost Happy" would be suitable for Scrubs...just to give an idea of what kind of music it is). Also, if you haven't (but I am sure you have), check out Damien Rice. I haven't seen all of The Girl in the Cafe yet, but I did notice that they played "Cold Water" by Damien Rice in the movie. Excited about your new site.

Hey Zach!
I'm so glad to see you back at the post, posting. I check every so often. Facebook, myspace, then www2foxsearchight. That's my sign on to the labtop routine and by now it's really just a nasty habit. Still, it is nice to hear something new from you.
The teaser for ZachBraff.com looks awesome so I do hope the robots do their damndest to give us a great website.
As far as Josh goes, I cannot believe it. I'm so excited for him. I remember I told him I wanted to be an actress back in the day and he was all like follow your dreams. And he did. He just kept at it and now he gets to have a video directed by you. That's so inspiring! :)
<----I love the smiley face by the way. Rock on with the smileys.
love always,

I can't get enough of Scrubs 3, its awesome! It seems like so long ago that it was on TV!! I love it and cant wait for the next season to come out! hahaha

Steph
Posted by: Stephanie Allison | May 17, 2006 10:27:15 PM
Aha! I knew you'd post after yesterday! I so win.
.< Damn, damn, damn. I will have to come back and post something better when I am feeling more cheerful. Part of me wants to ignore what is going on politically just so I can avoid feeling this way, but the rest of me knows I have to know because so many people just don't. And they don't care. And it makes things worse.
Wish I could give you a hug, you have very nice looking hugs. And, well, kisses, but that's ridiculous and am NOT a creepy stalker oh my goodness. D: I'd be really mad if someone was creepy stalkering you, you are a person with your own life!!
Geesh, I'm just all over the place. Well, here's hoping you miss this comment (I do have faith that if you say you read them, you read them) then. I promise I'll come back with something nicer, maybe when the site is up and I can be all "OMG your site is almost as cool as you!" or something.
Thanks for being!

You know, I woke up this morning and when I got dressed, I just happened to put on the clothes I was wearing the night that I met you. I cheerfully announced at lunch that I was wearing my "Zach Braff outfit." I know that sounds creepy and maybe even obsessive, but they're just normal clothes, so the only weird part is when I actually call it my "Zach Braff outfit."
And then, you went and updated your blog for the first time in three months.
At this point, the connection that we have just cannot be denied.
Posted by: Melody | May 17, 2006 10:59:43 PM
Oops HTML carots. Missing part of ultra-crappy post above:
*string of hearts* Move to Canada with me? Okay, maybe not. I am feeling so pessimisstic (is that even spelled right?) about the government right now. -.- Even tho I didn't vote, Illinois was "blue" so... yea, I should have voted (and would have if I'd remembered to do the absentee ballot buisness, really) but in the end I would have been one more count in a state all aimed in the same way.
Man, I'm a little depressed, so I'm glad you updated, is that lame? I mean, I'm not /depressed/, but... I guess memembers of every age have felt helpless when faced with a government they feel is doing wrong.
Which is why the things you and your fellow star-people do, aka entertain us, are so important. Keep on letting us smile when we're blue.
This is seriously the worst comment I've ever commented and probably the most up-top one. So... very glad Joshua Radin got signed, his music is very awesome. But hell, you know that already. I'm sure the video will be awesome too.
(and then continue with the saying I'll post later when I'm not blah)

Now it is time to try and figure out that one, elusive yet brilliant comment that will be the one that leaps out at you and so impresses you that you simply must contact that person and speak to them personally.

YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY Zach you finally posted again! I'm so happy because I have been looking on this site every single day since the last time I posted a comment! Oh, it makes me so happy that you wrote.
So I was very surprised at the end of Tuesday's show! JD might become a daddy? How exciting! I love his character, he seems like he's a very personable guy.... like YOU!
Welllll, I love writing to you because you say that you read all of them. That makes me glad because it somehow brings you closer to the people. And even if you randomly decided one day to stop reading them but still keep blogging, even then you would be closer to your fans than most of the other stars of today.
I'm happy that you and Mandy are together. You two make a very cute couple and it seems like you guys balance each other out and make each other happy. And that's always a good thing.
You know, it's funny. Every time I get onto this site, I have so much that I think I should say in my comment. But now that I'm actually leaving a comment, I've forgotten everything that I had prepared. I guess that you could say that I'm star-struck...over the internet. But that's okay.
WHAT ELSE CAN I SAY OTHER THAN THAT I LOVE YOU AND YOU ARE ONE OF THE GREATEST ACTORS THAT THE GENERAL PUBLIC HAS HAD THE PLEASURE OF SEEING!!!!! YOU'RE ALSO AN INCREDIBLE DIRECTOR!
keep up the good work and don't forget those of us who await your newest blog every day.

Zach you posted and I thought you never would! Shows how much I know.(!) Wow its the first day and already over 150 comments. Some people just sit at their computers all day I guess. Sad, sadness. Anyway I don't mean to be a suck up but I love Joshua Radin's music especially Winter. (Was he in the party scene in Garden State btw cos I swear I saw him). However you seem strangely obsessed with the guy. As I'm pretty much on study leave now for exxxxamss (bleh x100) I will probably check this site more often. I'm sure your site's gonna rock but that doesn't give you permission to stop posting here. No chance, otherwise I'll have your robots programmed to destroy you! I had lots of stuff to say before but I've forgotten it all as I'm very forg...what was I saying? Love you Zach it's so cool you're not starstruck like those other spoilt celebrities. Hey GS Blog and Zach,
I just wanted to give a shout out again to the great soundtrack that GS has. New Slang still to this day gets me to reflect on the world around me. The world issues that seem to be endless in regards to poverty, our government, the fate of our world itself.
Listening to that tune gets me to think it is all quite hopeless, but snaps me back into attack formation. So to speak. I did however while figuring out what to do next, find www.donorschoose.org, which i volunteer for now. They help make a difference in our education system in the US in low income areas. Check it out, its totally boss.
Goodluck in your offseason from TV Zach. Can't wait to see your new stuff till then. Keep watching the stars.

Hey Zach !
Good to hear from you again !
Here, in france, it will take a year before we can see the new season of Scrubs. But I console myself with the dvds.
I'm so happy for Joshua Radin, I've heard some of his songs, and I luuuuuved it, he is very talented.
Anyway, I can't wait to see your new site !
Sorry if my english isn't correct, I'm working on it...

Zach-
It's so great to hear from you! Tell Josh "Congrats" for me. I'm looking forward to the video and your new movie. Scrubs was fabulous Tuesday (as always)- the ending completely caught me off guard! It sucks that you guys won't be back until late next fall (or even Jan. again). I guess I'll just have to rely on my DVDs to get me through my Scrubs withdrawal. I can't wait to see your site!

Just when I was about you give up on you Zachy Poo! I just want to say I'm glad you're still alive and doing big things. This season of Scrubs is by far the best. I'm sure there will be more to come and if not we the people (fans) must realize that all good things must come to an end, but I'm sure there will be another season or two.I'm excited to see Last Kiss and check out what the robots have done. Also Congrats on the Radin Video, I'm sure it will be totally original. It's awesome that you're such a big fan, and you get to be a part of his up and comingness (I know that's not a word)
Good Luck
and
Take care!

Hey, man! Sorry for the nagging about coming to visit. Not very constructive, eh?
Lately I've been watching some old Scrubs eps and now I'm actually looking forward to your site opening, since (of course) you're one hell of an actor. All my previous posts are from the era of disappointment that was watching season 4. Holy crap, it sucked. Have only seen four eps of season five, so I can't say anything about that yet.
I'm not a big Garden State fan, but no matter what happens, I will always be interested in your doings, since you were the lead in one of the best shows I've ever seen. There. I said it.

Oh, I'm so glad to hear that! (About Joshua Radin!) I loved the video for Gavin DeGraw's Chariot: you did a very good job with it.

HOLA from Colombia! You have quite a big fan base down here, Scrubs is an awesome show.
Can't wait to see "The Last Kiss", and Joshua Rodin's video xD

Zach, I keep meeting so many of your musical friends and acquaintances that I think it's fated that we'll cross paths at some point. I'm going to chat with Imogen (Frou Frou) Heap tomorrow night — any messages to pass along?
Btw, Scrubs is on fire. John C., in particular, can crack me up just by the way he LOOKS at the camera. It would be a damn shame if it went away, though I guess then you could get on with your illustrious directorial career.
We may actually be planning a fall TV issue at the ol' mag, so if Scrubs is indeed renewed (by NBC *or* ABC, ain't that wacky?), we'll have our people talk to your people and blah blah blah, etc.

I just wanted to let you know that you were the highlight of the 'star clips' portion of the Waa-Mu show. I was always mid quick change, and without fail, even during the weekday shows, the audience managed quite the laugh.
thinking of Heather Headly causes me to picture you "coming into adulthood,"

No matter how hard the network tries to beat the show into the ground, it comes back kicking and screaming! That was a great season of Scrubs. It must have been really tough for everyone on the show to hang in there under those conditions.
Keep on rocking!

I'm not trying to offend Scrubs in any way, but last episode was fricking weak. That cliffhanger was awful, jesus. Scrubs is one of my favourite show along with Arrested Development and Veronica Mars, so again, not trying to be mean.
But damn Zach, the writers need to get some new ideas.

Hi Zack!
I´m from Brazil and I´ve seen GS , it´s amazing...! I loved the soundtrack, specially The Shins, I didn´t know them....and you as an actor, I mean, you are fantastic too! Congratulations!
Posted by: Erika | May 19, 2006 11:09:15 AM
Zachary,
I swear that website took longer to build than it took Wentworth Miller to break out of prison. LOL
And stop blaming those poor robots, you know they have a tendency to turn on the makers. "I'm sorry Zach, I'm afraid I can't do that."
But congrats, on the site, the upcoming release of the film and on directing Joshua's video.
Shout out to Joshua. Congratulations on the recording contract!
Can't wait to log on to the new site. Should be very interesting.
Check out Anthony Hamilton's album Ain't Nobody Worryin' and the single I Can't Let Go. He's a great storyteller.
Peace and much love,
Voncile

Bonsoir!
