SCRUBS PREMIERE TONIGHT
Inexcusable, shameless plug alert:
Hey all, so this TV show I'm on called Scrubs is premiering tonight on NBC at 9:25 eastern and pacific. If you happen to be home and you're not doing anything and you have a Nielsen box, would you mind watching it? Heck, even if you don't have a Nielsen box check it out. I promise to make you laugh at least once during the show. If it gets to be like 29 minutes into the half hour and you still haven't laughed I will come over to your house and tickle you. Which will be pretty awkward for me if you're a man or a child or have a big burly boyfriend who isn't exactly crazy about Jewish dudes to begin with. Basically it'll be awkward for me if you're anything but a single, legal, ticklish girl who doesn't mind strangers breaking into their house to tickle them and also (time-permitting) see if there's anything in your fridge and maybe play your x-box (no sexual innuendo intended).
Love,
ZB
P.S. Back to Garden State tomorrow.

Zach,
I saw Garden State again for the sixth time last night and loved it even more. I went with five of my friends and they adored it too. I can't even begin to describe how incredibly perfect this movie is. When it comes out on DVD I'm going to buy it and watch it all the time. It's one of those movies that you never get tired of and that makes you laugh hysterically every time you see it.
I'm definitely watching Scrubs tonight!

did you ever notice that a lot of these comments are quite repititive?

I stumbled upon this website because I am writing a review for my college newspaper about the movie, which I have already seen twice in one week and I own the soundtrack. Okay, so I am a nerd. But seriously, your movie really got to me and I really want you to know how amazing it was. I cried twice during it not from being sad, but from being so overwhelmed with the exact feeling the characters were experiencing in the scene. For once, someone gets it and can verbalize what it means to be in your twenties today. I read that you went to Northwestern University...I grew up right near there. I basically just wanted to let you know that I think you are a brilliant guy. Keep making movies.

I am so glad I live in the States to see this movie before my French friends...:)
I love it and need to go see it again as I was laughing so hard I could not hear the dialog !
I'll spread the word.

"Blah, Blah, Blah"...I'm like one of the FIRST to repsond to your new post...can't believe it. Getting nervous I'm going to screw it up...yikes.
So I've seen the pic 4 times and learned "Only Living Boy in NY" and "New Slang" on the guitar and am performing them at my acoustic gigs. Yes, yes...so I don't have like much else to add...DAMN!
Yeah, actually enjoyed the film THE MOST the last time I saw it...go figure.
Sorry I was dull here.

Hey Zach,
Any chance you can list all the songs that didn't make it onto the soundtrack? There are some songs not on the soundtrack I still want to track down. BTW, best movie I've seen in a long time.

Hey, Zach! INCREDIBLE movie! Loved it! Saw it twice last week and have a poster and soundtrack on the way thanks to amazon.com and ebay (yes, I am a supreme dork). Looking forward to the Scrubs premiere tonight :) Anyway, just wanted to say that the movie rocked! Also, wanted to mention that I felt bad for the characters during their discussion about God -- if that at all reflects your own spiritual/religious beliefs, I hope you find something more to believe in than "Tickle." Knowing God can totally change your outlook on life -- like Large's experience coming off his meds in the movie -- it's a whole new worldview. Hope you find what you're looking for. God bless!
Peace,
Liv

Am looking forward to the Scrubs premiere tonight. The show is amazing for so many different reasons! Can I still get you to come and tickle me tho? :)

Not laughing at SCRUBS? Sounds tough, but definitely a challenge I'm willing to take on if the prize is your hands all over me! You could use a little vacation down here in San Diego, couldn't you? ;)

You changed my life Zach. It's rare to find someone or something that can even stratch the surface of how you tick, and you did it for me in less than two hours with Garden State. Amazing. It captured everything just how it is.
You can come to Washington and tickle me anytime. :) :) My knees get the most laughs and our fridge is full with Grandma's Italian cooking.
See you via the small screen tonight! Take care, live long and laugh often.

Ack, my Jewish mother would be so excited to have a nice Jewish boy in her house... And you're even a Jewish doctor! ...sort of.
Can't wait for Scrubs, dude. You rock, as always.

I'll fire up the x-box and do my best not to laugh. See you at 9:59?

Posted by: jennifer | Aug 31, 2004 2:08:59 PM
Oh. Hey. I'm a single, legal, ticklish girl! And Jewish dudes are hot. Or rather, you are. I will watch Scrubs and painstakingly stifle my laughter in hopes that you will magically appear in the San Fernando Valley. I could make you a dove latte'. It would be great!
Okay. Enough creepiness on my part.

Zach,
This is my first time commenting and I'm afraid I'll screw it up and the next time you see K8 next to "Posted by," you'll automatically skip to the next comment... So I guess I'll just say I love GS, the soundtrack, you, Natalie Portman, Scrubs, and the thought that if I force myself to not laugh at Scrubs (not possible), you could end up at my door to tickle me. So great... But yeah, you are hilarious; I seem to be constantly be quoting things from your blog in my livejournal or to my friends. I think my friends want me to stop obsessing, but I take them to see the movie and they completely understand where I'm coming from. It's just the most beautiful thing I've ever seen and as I'm going through that whole "quarter-life crisis" right now, I relate to the movie in so many ways. I'm in my first apartment after college and what Large says about what a family really is hit home hardcore.
So thank you for giving us all the best movie I've seen...

I don't have a Nielsen box, but I will force all my friends with Nielsen boxes to watch Scrubs. You're fantastic in it and I just have to say that I loved Garden State. You were so good and it was beautifully directed. Keep up the good work. It'd make me sad if you didn't. But I know you will.
Is Scrubs always going to be on Tuesday's now? I missed it a lot late last season, because I'm bad at the remembering of the NBC schedule (especially when things get all shuffled around). And I promise I'll laugh, because it would be weird if you broke into my house and I don't have an X-Box for you to play with. Plus, Scrubs always makes me laugh.

Dear Zach,
It is now my mission in life to weasel the most scratch possible into your pockets.
Okay, that sounded a little more perverted than I would have liked... But regardless! You deserve it, and I shall help out as a loyal fan whenever my assistance is called upon!
So, huzzah! I shall henceforth become the universe's most devoted Scrubs fan! *big sweeping bow*
Your loyal and devoted underling,
Corin

Dear Zach,
I went and saw Garden State over the weekend with my Dad and it was very interesting how much my relationship was like that of Large and his father. Thanks for letting me know I am not alone I guess. I have posted before but I have one question:
Is the Sam character based on anyone in particular?
