Sorry its taken me so long to post. As you can imagine the last 24 hours have been crazy. But very exciting.
I really want to thank all of you so much for going to see the movie. Last nights turnout was amazing and if it keeps up like that over the weekend, they tell me it has a chance to expand to even more cities.
You all have been writing the nicest posts and it really makes me feel so great to read them each day. I'm so happy that this story is moving so many people in so many ways.
Sorry, I know I'm not being very funny right now, but I'm soooooooo tired and I have to get up at the crack o dawn and fly to LA.
Thank you so much for supporting my first movie. You are truly making a difference just by going to check it out.

Thank God GS is coming to my city! I've never been this hyped to see a movie before. I'm spreading word about the film in the Lone Star State. Stay cool!

One word to describe this movie .. amazing. It was so incredibly real. The chemistry, the story, everything fell into place. Thanks for putting it out there. Congrats on making an awesomely breathtaking first film!

hey, can't wait to see the movie- it looks fantastic... but i noticed on the soundtrack listing there is a song called Such Great Heights. the artist listed as it's performer is Iron and Wine...? It WAS The Postal Service... did they change their name or is that a mistake?

i saw it last night in LA and i fell in love with it. thank you so much for creating a film with such feeling and familiarity. i loved absolutly everything about it!

Still haven't seen it yet, but I'm working on getting to NY early next week to see it! the wait is killing us...and everyone chiming in about its greatness has just continued to grow. I just read that it made cloes to $50,000 yesterday...that rocks so much.

I don't know how it's possible that a trailer for a movie has gotten so much attention. After I, too, got sucked in, I sent it to all of my friends -- and my thirst for more information on the movie is insatiable. Now all I have left is to see the movie itself, with which I know I won't be disappointed -- if the largely rave reviews and hauntingly beautiful trailer are any indication.
Nice choice on the soundtrack too. It's amazing how this movie has garnered so much word of mouth attention.
Good luck with everything..I've been an avid journal reader of yours, but this is the first time I've posted.
Your interaction with your fans is fantastic -- you've proved yourself to be more real than other actors on the screen, allowing your audience to get to know you.

Hey Zach, congrats on the terrific box office results on Wednesdays. I will sure be first in line when the movie comes out in Vancouver! My friends and I can't wait to see it!

Hey man. I had been waiting for this movie for three months now, so I went opening night. I thought the movie was the best I'd seen this year. I also thought that natalie portman's performance was the best she's ever given. You've made it very apparent that you've got a lot of talent as a filmmaker, and it's good to know that your movie is doing well, as that is a sign that there will be more films to come from you in the future. Your movie is good, so thank you for that, and congratulations.

I saw the trailer about a week ago and I have played it almost (but not quite) ad nauseum. I have read and read so much about this movie online, and I humbly and desperately beg you to release it in Lubbock, Texas. The closest city it is currently scheduled to play in is Dallas (about 5 or 6 hours away). I am very careful about paying over $7 to see movies in the theater, but I will certainly rush to see Garden State if it is out here. I am sure the college community here will be as excited about seeing it as I am.

You're NOT welcome, LOOOOSER.
p.s.: I'm kidding, I think you're a pretty person. Keep on truckin'.

Oh yeah and you don't have to be funny ALL the time (although you always crack me up whenever you try to be funny). You are just such a sincere and genuine person who cares about his fans... only if all celebrities are like that :( I look forward to reading more of your blog (hopefully you'll have one when Meadow comes out too hehe)!

The count down has started in the Seattle area... can't wait to see it again!
Your film is so amazing... it's really going to open the cinematic doors to more independent films. It's just such a compelling story, so real... people are really able to identify with the story and the characters.
I can't wait for you to make another film! You really do have a natural eye for filmmaking... brilliant as a writer and a director.
Have a nice flight to LA!

Can't wait to see this movie. I heard about it on your Letterman appearance (if anyone wants to sell anyhitng to me, they should do it through Letterman) and I just pray to God that my city has been selected. So let's all hope that the movie comes here to Ottawa, Ontario... uh.. Canada.

I saw it at Union Square today. Simply put: My Favorite Movie Ever. Needless to say, i have a couple more Garden State viewing trips in store for me....
Thanks Zach for making such a touching, emotional movie.

Zach...thou art amazing. I havent gotten to see the movie yet...but I am sure it is fantastic. My friends went to your Dallas Q&A (I didnt get to go damnit) and they said it was great. Your a damn funny man Zach...keep it up. Cant wait till the 13th when it comes out in Dallas. Wow...your movie comes out in Dallas on Friday the 13th. Coincidence? I think not. Maybe on my way to the theater my car will stall, I will have to walk for miles, and I will end up at some summer camp and get slashed up by a crazy lady with an axe. Frightening, isnt it? Well, I am just rambling again. Zach...the moral of the story is- even a crazy lady with an axe couldnt stop me from seeing the movie on the 13th.

Well up here in Saskatchewan(can you say that?) Canada, no movie yet, but the moment the it appears I will be all over it like the Star Wars nerds on the Episode three trailer. Is anyone dressing up as Zach or Natalie for the show. Because that would be awesome. Seriously. Peace. Out

I saw your movie last night at the Stony Brook University Film Festival and it was amazing. Honestly, I can't explain how amazing. Is there an address we can send cookies and hugs and letters to you to thank you for the movie? I just really can't say thank you enough. Thank you. Hope everything is well

The movie isn't coming to little Oshkosh, WI, where I live, but my sister and I have scheduled a date to drive the four hours to Chicago and see it shortly after its release there. Thanks for what seems to be THE movie of the summer,
